Lambeth College is a FE College located across three sites, Brixton, Clapham and Vauxhall, in the borough of Lambeth in South London. The College aims to focus on growing both its young learner offerings and apprenticeships with c. 1,800 students. The College employs c.490 staff. In February 2012 Ofsted rated the College as ‘inadequate’ due to a number of quality KPI failures.
In July Mark Silverman was appointed as Principal to turn the College around. With continued support from Barclays (advised by Deloitte) a turnaround plan was agreed. Restructured term and working capital facilities were put in place to support the College’s strategic/turnaround plan including the redevelopment of the Brixton and Clapham campuses.
