IFT NHS & Healthcare SIG Meeting - 20/03/18
Steve Swayne would like to invite IFT Members and Corporate Partners to our Healthcare SIG event taking place on Tuesday 20th March, at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1J 7PX from 18:00 onwards.
It has been another very busy year and the pace of change with the NHS shows no signs of slowing. To help us make sense of this changing landscape I am delighted to invite senior and active participants within the sector. We are very privileged to have these speakers at this event and their details are below. Following the talks, there will be time for QA and our generous hosts, SSG Health Partners, will be kindly providing drinks at the networking.
Guest speakers & summary:
Steve Russell- NHSI
Steve is NHS Improvement’s Regional Director for London. Steve joined NHSI in August 2017 following 19 years in the provider sector. He started as a management trainee in the North East and was Northumbria’s Executive Director for Emergency Care, prior to moving to London in 2011 and undertaking roles as Chief Operating Officer, Improvement Director and Deputy Chief Executive.
At NHSI, Steve is responsible for supporting and overseeing improvement in the capital’s NHS Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts across quality, finance and operational performance.
Steve will provide an insight into what, as a regulator, he looks for from Turnaround Directors and their changing role within interventions.
James Shillito - SSG Health
James Shillito FCA MIFT is a partner at SSG Health, a change management consulting practice providing turnaround and transformation support to NHS clients. He has worked with many challenged NHS Trusts over the past decade.
James will provide his reflections following SSG Health’s appointment to work with East Midlands Ambulance Service and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Trust under the national Financial Improvement Programme waves 1 and 2 overseen by NHSI.”
New Speaker - Janahan Tharmaratnam
Janahan is an expert in Digital, IT Strategy, Business Architecture and Business Transformation in the Public Sector. He leads PwC’s Digital Health Strategy & Transformation practice across the UK. His talk will look at Technology trends in heath and case studies of how they been applied both in the UK and Globally.
Registration will commence from 18:00 with presentations beginning at 18:15.
Drinks, networking & canapes will follow the presentations, close: 20:30.
