Martin Chapman

Martin is a Teneo Financial Advisory Limited, Director based in Leeds, focusing and leading the regional education team across the North of England. Martin has extensive restructuring experience in education, public health and retail energy sectors having worked on the turnaround of a University, Acute Hospital Trusts and the first Special Energy Administration of a retail energy provider in the UK.

Specifically in the education sector, Martin has over 12 years of restructuring experience advising higher and further education institutions, funding agencies and major lenders to the sector. He has led over 44 engagements in FE, including recently advising on the first insolvency in the FE sector, led the first three due diligence engagements post the creation of the Department for Education Restructuring Unit, advised HEFCE on the options of an unsustainable HEI and led a turnaround of a HEI.

Martin’s key clients include all the major lending banks to the Education sector, Department for Education, Office for Students, Ofgem and providers/institutions directly.
