Mike Parsons – IFT Accredited Member

Mike Parsons is a Associate Managing Director in KR8's Advisory team, based in the firm's Manchester office. He has 20 years of experience advising UK corporates in all aspects of business turnaround and restructuring.

Mike has particular expertise in completing independent business reviews, options reviews and financial forecast modelling. He has worked for a wide range of lenders including banks, asset-based lenders and private equity funders, as well as directly for corporates and their stakeholders. Mike also has significant experience in cash management, debt advisory assignments, pre-lend reviews and financial due diligence.

Mike leads KR8's Tax Arrears service line and together with his team has successfully negotiated over 500 repayment arrangements with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) since 2008, as well as handling numerous complex appeals relating to security requests and compliance issues.

Prior to joining KR8 Advisory in 2025, Mike worked in the Advisory team at Kroll Advisory. In 2012, he completed a 13-month secondment to Royal Bank of Scotland’s restructuring team where he gained valuable experience managing distressed lending portfolios.

During his career, Mike has worked on a number of high-profile assignments across a wide range of sectors, including as buy-side advisor for the acquisition of a £1bn turnover recruitment group; lender side advisory for a distressed legal practice with associated debt in excess of £250m; and financial due diligence to support the refinance of a £300m turnover global printing business.    

Mike was chairman of the North West Regional Board of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) between 2017 and 2022, and hosted a number of turnaround focused events and seminars throughout his tenure. Mike was also a finalist in the 2017 TMA Young Turnaround Professional of the Year awards.

Mike has a degree in history from the University of Manchester and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in England and Wales.
