Steve Tancock – IFT Accredited Member

Steve set up his own Business Support Practice in the North West in 2011, having previously worked in both large and small accountancy practices for the previous 25 years.

A Chartered Accountant, Steve has extensive experience of working with businesses needing a range of financial and management support, typically working with or in a senior role in a turnaround or business support role at a time of change.

Steve has an unusual skill set, based on his career path which includes a Fellowship of the ICAEW, Institute of Bankers qualification while working at the Woolwich Building Society between 1989 and 1992 and was until 2010, a partner and appointment-taking IP in a Big 8 accountancy practice specialising in business reviews and trading insolvencies before moving into turnaround.

Steve has worked throughout the UK as well as in the US and Australia during his time in professional practice and also spent time on secondment to Barclays Bank's Business Support Unit.

Steve is a regular new member accreditor for the IfT and has ambitions for Fellowship in the near future

Steve is a born and bred Tauntonian and still avidly follows, writes and podcasts about his beloved Somerset CCC even though he is, in his own words, 'exiled in what I like to call Somerset North'
