Philip Weston has been a Senior Partner at Kelso Place Asset Management since 2001. Kelso Place specialises in the acquisition of underperforming businesses that require operational and/or financial restructuring.
Philip is involved in all aspects of the investment process from deal evaluation and structuring, through to investment management and, ultimately, exit. Philip takes executive positions within the investee companies where he focuses on first stabilising the business by addressing its underlying problems before developing growth strategies to add value.
Prior to joining Kelso Place, Philip, a Chartered Accountant, held various operational and corporate finance roles in M & A, strategy, financial planning and control at British Gas plc, Trafalgar House plc/Kvaerner ASA and Prebon Group Ltd. Whilst a manager of Kvaerner Investments, a division of Kvaerner plc, Philip ran a disposal programme of over $500 million worth of businesses
