Tony is a CIMA-qualified accountant and in his early career worked in a number of business sectors, in companies with up to £300m turnover. At the end of this period he was heavily involved at a senior level in change management projects with two major UK organisations.
He has been independent since 1996, and generally operates at FD level in organisations undergoing significant change. In more recent years he has worked in a number of distressed companies, typically turning over between £5m and £50m. He has worked in businesses with varied ownership structures and has latterly gained a lot of experience in family owned and managed businesses.
Most of Tony’s work comes via recommendation, and often involves initially being taken on to manage crisis situations, getting heavily involved in cash and working capital management. He then moves on to deal with the implementation of long term recovery plans. His style is very much hands-on, and he enjoys working with his clients’ management teams to develop recovery strategies and action plans whilst managing key stakeholders’ interests.
