ABOUT MEMBER

Nigel Atkinson is a founder member of the Institute for Turnaround. A chemical engineer by training, Nigel qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in 1976.
He worked for three years with Ernst & Young in Spain and for a major US company in Portugal.
As a Deloitte partner in the UK specializing in Corporate Insolvency, Restructuring and Turnaround, he advised major banks on underperforming companies in their loan portfolios.
After leaving Deloitte he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of a Ł60 million turnover group of textile companies undergoing restructuring.
After completing this and several other executive assignments, he co-founded Regenesis Partners in 2001. He joined Begbies Traynor in 2003 from Regenesis Partners Limited.

His work includes industrial management, independent business reviews, turnarounds and rescue advice and consultancy, capital-raising and merger and acquisition transactions for small and medium-sized businesses.
