Latest Message from the IFT Chairman

On Thursday 20th September at the AGM I was elected to the IFT Board, and at the Board meeting yesterday I was nominated as Chairman. This is a great honour for me and I will endeavour to build the IFT as the champion of turnaround excellence to the best of my ability.

As I step into the role, I would like to thank Graham for the work he has done over the past two years. A lot of effort has gone into developing the quality of engagement with the corporate partners and the regional chairmen. I would also like to thank Duncan Parkes and the executive team who have supported and facilitated the changes behind the scenes.

Graham and Duncan will both continue to be involved with the running of the institute on a lesser basis providing support with regards to corporate partners and other discrete projects as we transition from an Executive Chair and COO structure to the traditional pro-bono Chair and CEO model.

This will allow the new CEO, Rob Clift, to focus on what the IFT offers independent members and sponsors, with a view to increasing engagement. I look forward to working with Rob on this and am delighted to have him on board.

I am very excited about the future for the IFT. In the changing turnaround and transformation market there are many opportunities. I feel strongly that we are a force for good within the UK industry and am very proud to be part of this profession and community.

As Chair I will build on the work done by Graham and Duncan so far with the IFT with a particular focus on building the value offered to both members and sponsors.

I look forward to meeting with you over the coming months.
