Clotilde Gros

Clotilde Gros is Managing Director, Financial Advisory & Transactions at SEC Newgate, with more than 20 years' experience advising companies through complex corporate and financial situations. She provides strategic communications counsel on restructurings, refinancing processes, distressed M&A, bond restructurings, CVAs, store closure programmes, disposals and wider transformation initiatives.

Clotilde has worked alongside company boards, advisers, lenders and investors to develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies during periods of significant change, helping organisations communicate effectively with employees, shareholders, creditors, customers, regulators and the media. Her experience includes advising on high profile financial restructurings and refinancing transactions, as well as operational restructurings involving portfolio rationalisation, store closures and business disposals.

In addition to restructuring situations, Clotilde has extensive experience advising on M&A, shareholder activism, fundraisings, IPOs and defence against hostile takeovers. She leads SEC Newgate's Financial Advisory & Transaction team.

Clotilde graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies with a degree in Japanese and Management, and speaks English, French and Japanese.
