Philip Barter

Phil started his career as a chartered accountant with KPMG and has over 25 years experience in finance and commercial leadership roles in complex B2B and B2C organisations across many industry sectors with a variety of ownership structures. He is now focusing as an independent CFO and turnaround specialist.

Phil has delivered multiple transformation and restructuring projects from business process re-engineering and M&A & integration, to major working capital and liquidity improvements, re-financing and complex restructurings. He was part of the 2023 winning team of an IFT ‘large turnaround of the year’ award.

Known for his  level-headed leadership , expertise in liquidity and working capital management and successfully growing and scaling businesses, Phil’s collaborative style guides organisations to optimise enterprise value.
