- The state of the market
- Hospitality and Leisure
- Care homes
- Not for profit
The sessions and Q&A will be followed by networking and refreshments.
This is a free event for IFT North Members , however spaces are limited. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your attendance and make enquiries. Given the changing position regarding the pandemic and related restrictions, we are hopeful of meeting in person, but if this is not possible, alternative arrangements will be put in place.
The IFT Midlands Committee are pleased to be re-starting in person events with an evening hosted by Rob Moran, Partner at PwC.
Throughout the past year, the dialogue around ESG has continued to rise up the agenda of the general public, the press and the boardroom. It’s no longer enough to pay lip service to these principles via high level policies or public commitments. But what does this mean for the restructuring community?
Rob Moran, with the help of a number of his restructuring colleagues will bring to life how ESG is increasingly part of the conversation in turnaround situations and what you need to know to get ahead of the curve.
We will cover:
- ESG essentials – a brief recap of what you need to know;
- Investment and financing – access to funding and investment decisions is increasingly dependent on ESG;
- Carbon reduction activities – what we’re doing to support clients through significant restructuring in order to deliver on decarbonisation targets; and
- The Green IBR – how the operational and financial implications of ESG strategies are becoming part of stakeholder discussions in restructurings.
To ensure we have as much time as possible for networking we have increased the time available pre and post the talk so if you can’t make it for the whole evening then please feel free to come along to one of the networking sessions as best suits your diary.
5:15pm – Networking over coffee
6:00pm – Formal presentation and Q&A
6:45pm – Networking over drinks
We look forward to seeing a great mix of Independent and Corporate members on the night. Please make yourself aware of and follow any Covid-19 related rules that are in place on that day.
If you would like to register for the event please email Info@the-ift.com.
IFT Next is aimed at professionals who have identified turnaround and business support as their long-term career pathway. Typically, these professionals will have established themselves at a management level within turnaround and restructuring and are now looking to build upon their profile and network.
We’re hosting a fabulous London Social drinks event in London, where Richard Sanfourche and Justin Matthews of FRP will discuss the turnaround work they have done across different service lines.
Spaces are limited. Please email INFO@THE-IFT.COM to register your attendance and make enquiries.

The IFT, in conjunction with DLA Piper, wish to invite you to a breakfast briefing on the incoming Rent Arbitration Scheme and the anticipated withdrawal of support for commercial tenants towards the end of Q1.
The Scheme is intended to help landlords and tenants settle disputes over rent arrears accrued during the pandemic.
DLA Piper will share their thoughts on:
- the scope of the Scheme, how it will work in practice and whether it will be effective
- how parties might use the Scheme to their advantage, particularly in combination with other restructuring tools
- the options which will be available to parties as we move towards (and then beyond) the end of Q1
DLA Piper will also provide a short market update on developments in the use of the CVA and Restructuring Plan, in the context of restructuring lease liabilities.
The session should last no more than 45 minutes. It is intended as a knowledge sharing exercise and there will be Q&A opportunities throughout.
If you would like to register for the event and receive the joining instructions please email Info@the-ift.com.
We’re excited to be hosting our first Coffee Carousel morning for the North East region on 1st March between 8am and 9am.
Coffee Carousel is a simple, but powerful way to bring together the regional turnaround community. You will be randomly matched with another attendee for a 5 minute speed meet and then rotate to another participant and so on. This is a great way to get to know other professionals in the North East!
This is a free, virtual event open to IFT members, associates and Corporate Partners, whether you are an independent member, an advisor, lawyer, banker or investor. Please do share these details with colleagues in the North East who might be interested.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your attendance and make enquiries. This is a virtual event and the link to join will be sent in the days leading up to the event.
